NET example
1045/1100 Matric, 990/1100 Intermediate, 150/200 NET. That is 95.00%, 90.00% and 75.00%. Weighted parts: 9.50 + 13.50 + 56.25. Aggregate: 79.25%.
| Input | Weighted part |
|---|---|
| SSC 1045 / 1100 | 95.00% × 10% = 9.50 |
| HSSC 990 / 1100 | 90.00% × 15% = 13.50 |
| NET 150 / 200 | 75.00% × 75% = 56.25 |
| Final aggregate | 79.25% |

Frequently asked questions
Why is the NET 75% in this preset?
NUST has used a test-heavy mix in recent cycles. 75% is the example loaded here. If this year’s booklet shows another NET share, type that number — the page will update live.
I only have first-year Intermediate. Can I still estimate?
You can enter Part 1 alone by putting Part 2 as 0 / 0 only if the notice allows a first-year estimate. Otherwise wait for full HSSC or use IBCC predicted equivalence guidance from your school.
Do O-level students enter eight subjects?
Enter the IBCC equivalence total, not raw letter grades. The 10% Matric slot is a percentage of that equivalence, not of individual CIE papers.
Can a perfect Intermediate rescue a weak NET?
Only a little. Intermediate is 15% in this example, so even 100% HSSC adds 15 points. Most of the aggregate still comes from the NET.
Is the same split used for every NUST school?
Architecture, business and engineering lists can differ. Read the programme table in the current admission guide.
How do I use Reverse calculator here?
Lock Matric and Intermediate, type a target such as 80, and read the NET percentage required. If it exceeds 100%, that target is not possible with your current school marks.
