Engineering example

935/1100 Matric, 924/1100 Intermediate, 155/400 ECAT. That is 85.00%, 84.00% and 38.75%. Weighted parts: 14.45 + 27.72 + 19.38. Aggregate: 61.55%.

InputWeighted part
Matric 935 / 110085.00% × 17% = 14.45
Intermediate 924 / 110084.00% × 33% = 27.72
ECAT 155 / 40038.75% × 50% = 19.38

Frequently asked questions

Why is Matric 17% here instead of 10%?

Some engineering notices use a 17/33/50 split instead of 10/40/50. This page follows that example. If your campus uses another trio, switch to Custom or type the weights yourself.

My ECAT is out of 400. Is that OK?

Yes. Enter 400 as the test total. Percentage is always obtained ÷ total, so the paper size does not matter as long as both numbers match the result card you hold.

Does a low ECAT ruin a strong FSc?

With a 50% test share, ECAT moves the aggregate a lot. A high Intermediate still helps (33%), but it cannot fully hide a very low test.

Can DAE holders use this page?

Only if your admission notice maps DAE marks onto the same three buckets. If DAE has its own policy, use Custom weights from that notice.

Is this valid for every UET campus?

No. Lahore, Taxila, Peshawar and other campuses can publish different combinations in the same year. Open the campus admission page linked in the notes.

How do I plan a target closing merit?

Put last year’s closing aggregate into Reverse calculator. You will see the ECAT percentage you still need after your Matric and Intermediate are locked in.
